Frequently asked questions.
How many people can use the Hot Tubs?
As per the manufacturers guidelines, the Helsinki Hot Tub can entertain up to 7 adults, the Hollywood hot tub is for up to 6 adults and the Cancun is for up to 4 adults
How do I pay?
Once you have chosen the right hot tub for your occasion you can either pay a deposit or pay in full, either way will secure your requirements. You can either pay in full or pay a deposit via BACS to secure your selections and the remainder can be paid either via BACS anytime up to the day of delivery. Alternatively, we can take the remainder (after deposit) via cash on arrival.
Please note - we do require payment in full prior to setting up the hot tubs.
How long does it take to set up & take down?
Set up times can vary depending on the following factors:
o Parking - if we have to park up the road, it will take longer to unload/load up, if you have a driveway, letting us use it will be appreciated.
o Access - if access to the back garden is through a side gate with no obstruction, this will take considerably less time than navigating through a home.
o Area - if the area is clear, hose and electric are ready for us on arrival, we can start setting up straight away.
If the above has been considered:
Just a Hot Tub can take 10-15 minutes.
Hot Tub and gazebo can take 15-30 minutes.
How long does it take to fill the Hot Tub?
Fill time is entirely dependent on your water pressure and varies from town to town. You can gauge a rough idea by imagining filling up 6 bath tubs. (roughly 1-3 hours)
How long does it take to heat the Hot Tub?
Heat time can be from 15-25 hours.
We always deliver your Hot Tub at least the day before your start of hire to allow for heat times. You MUST turn on the heat as soon as filled. Our hire period is delivery on a Thursday ready for Fridays use
If you want to enjoy the hot tub sooner, you can fill directly from a hot tap with the right attachments and a rubber garden hose, this will enable the hot tub to reach temperature a lot faster but the temperature of the water you use to fill the hot tub MUST NOT EXCEED 40*c.

What do I need to prepare for when the Hot Tub arrives?
An adult (person aged 18+) must be present to accept delivery within the hours that have been arranged and able to sign the hire agreement. A delviery time slot will be provided 1-2 days prior to delivery
Have a clear walk way of at least a standard doorway to the area.
A clear, level area 3x3m prepared by removing debris, checking for animal mess, sharp edges and cover if necessary, before our arrival. The selected location has to be able to support the expected load, if you have any doubts then please contact us prior to booking.
Access to water, by way of outside tap and hose or internal taps. Please have hoses ready, or request to borrow one of ours before the day of delivery. If running from an internal tap, please source the correct attachments.
Access to constant electric, from a standard 13 amp household socket either indoors or outdoors. The cable can reach approx. 5m. if 5m is not enough reach you can hire one of our purpose made 10m extension leads, alternatively you must supply a suitable, good condition extension cable. This must be suitable for outdoor use, have a 13amp fuse and be plugged directly into a mains socket (not another extension cable!) Extension cables must be completely unravelled to prevent overheating. The typical 'behind the TV' extension cable will not be strong enough. You WILL need a high-quality cable.
Can I use the Hot Tub if I am pregnant or suffer from an illness?
If you are pregnant and/or suffer with ANY medical condition, including but not limited to heart/skin/blood conditions you MUST consult your GP before use.
Our customers are our priority so we operate a 'if in doubt, the answer is no' policy.
Users do so at their own risk. We would not advise anyone with a medical condition to use a Hot Tub without contacting their GP.
Those with open wounds and/or infectious diseases must not use the Hot Tub for the safety and health of others
I have a problem with my pump, what should I do?
On rare occasions, the Hot Tub pump may flash and make a noise at you; please don't panic. They are pre-set to do this to inform you that you need to do something. Here is some of the most common errors:
o E02 - This is a common error only if the water hasn’t been looked after correctly. It is important for the filter to be cleaned out at least twice daily. This error is showing a problem with the water flow, the filter is probably blocked/dirty. Take it out and clean it thoroughly, checking the pipes for any debris that may have become caught. Reset (below)
o EO3 - The pump is too cold, predominantly in winter. You need to warm the pump up to above 4*c to get it going again. This will only happen at initial set up and should not happen once the water is circulating. Reset (below)
o EO4 - The water temperature is too hot, predominantly in summer. Check the temperature on the pump, if above 40*c, carefully replace some of the water with clean cold water. Reset (below)
o EO8 - This is an electrical message. Either a dirty filter has caused the motor to begin to overheat and the pump senses a fault; in which case you need to clean the filter. Or, if using an extension cable, it may have overheated; this happens when it is not capable of drawing the energy that the Hot Tub requires to heat up. This can also occur from a house hold socket where too many appliances are running off the same circuit (think Hot Tub, fridge, washing machine and a kettle all turned on – it's too much power!) If the plug from the Hot Tub is hot to the touch; please turn off immediately and call us on 08002884787. Keep turned off until further notice. Reset (below)
If any of the above come up during your hire you will need to reset the pump; here's how:
o Turn the power supply off at the plug
o Wait for the beeping to stop, then unplug from the socket
o After 10 seconds, please plug back in to the socket
o About a foot down the cable, please press the orange button, then the red button and finally the orange button again,
o Go to the pump and on the lower half of the back of the pump near a yellow sticker is a small reset button, push it
o Push the 'power' icon on the pump display (looks like a TV standby button)
o Press the 3 flames for heat to start again
If this does not resolve the issue, or the problem you have is different to the above please call or text us on 07795197778 between 8am-6pm
Alternatively, please refer to the lay-z-spa user guides available online.
What should I consider if it is windy and I have a gazebo?
All efforts are made on our part to check weather forecasts before your hire. In cases of strong wind forecasts we may not be able to set up the gazebo. If the wind increases during your hire, you will be asked to remove the covers from the gazebo to prevent damages.
All our gazebos are heavy duty and are either pegged down, or weighted down depending on what ground they are placed on.
Any damages caused to the equipment by failing to follow our instructions must be paid for.
Do I need to leave the Hot Tub switched on?
Yes. If you turn off the heat or the power supply the Hot Tub will start to cool down naturally. If you forget to turn the heat on, it isn't going to heat up.
Anglian will not be held responsible for any loss of use where the hirer has failed to follow the instructions at set up.
The Hot Tub reach a maximum temperature of 40*c, they are usable, under strict supervision, for children from 28*c and for adults from 35* comfortably in summer. For winter, from 30*c for children and 37* for adults.
How does the Hot Tub get emptied?
We will take this burden from you and it will take approximately 10 minutes.
We ask that you DO NOT deflate the Hot Tub at any time.
One of the pipes is leaking, what do I do?
The pipe may be cross threaded slightly, we all know how easy this can happen, just think about the top of a drinks bottle! All you need to do here is slightly untwist the widest part of the connection ANTI-CLOCKWISE to loosen it and retighten, please keep in mind that they are plastic connections and should only be hand tight, please DO NOT use any tools to tighten connections as this may result in breakage.
How do I keep my water clean?
It is essential that you keep your Hot Tub water clean and clear of any debris. This might seem like an impossible task, especially when hosting a party, however, it is highly important to everyone’s enjoyment and safety that you keep the water clean.
Users should:
o Always Shower before use
o Not be wearing heavy makeup, creams, perfumes or fake tan
o Tie long hair up
o Remove all jewellery
o Wipe/wash feet before entering to prevent any grit/grass from entering the tub
o Not urinate, spit, vomit or likewise in the Hot Tub
o Not spill food and drink into the Hot Tub
o Not add any of their own cleaning chemicals or bathing oils such as bubble bath
o Clean the filter at lease twice a day and remove any caught items from the pipe often
o If the above isn’t followed, imagine a large bath that people will be consistently using, if the correct chemicals are not used and the above guidance isn’t adhered, the water would be dirty and slimy which will cause the E02 error message as mentioned above, therefore, please do follow the guidance above.
If actions haven't been taken to keep the water clean and clear during your hire, and the water becomes green and or has a smell, you MUST empty the Hot Tub, clean, and refill it. DO NOT BATHE IN DIRTY SMELLY WATER.
Our Hot Tubs are sanitised with a cleaner before your hire, are filled with clean, drinkable water from your own taps; the water only becomes dirty by wrongful use.
Anglian accept NO liability for illness, skin/eye irritation or other where the water has become dirty.
